Arrest after man killed in M20 crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal crash on the M20 on Saturday.

A 28-year-old Catford man died when a blue Ford Fiesta in which he was a passenger hit a safety barrier between junctions two and three of the M20 coastbound carriageway.

No other vehicles are thought to be involved.

The driver and his female passenger suffered minor injuries and were treated at a nearby hospital and later discharged.

A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He has been bailed while investigations continue.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to ring the serious collision investigation unit appeal line on 01622 798538.
