Appeal to find family of Lesley Stevens found dead near Lyme Regis

Police are trying to trace the next-of-kin of a woman following the discovery of her body.

Lesley Stevens, 63, had lived in Kent before moving to Seaton in East Devon and then settling in Membury for 18 years.

The staff nurse at Axminster Hospital had left home at 7am on April 19 before her body was found in water off Lyme Regis, Dorset, at 10.30am - with a coroner determining she had drowned.

She drove a red Citroen C1 which was located parked in Lyme Regis following her body being found.

Ms Stevens is believed to have grown-up in, or lived in, the Kent area and may have next-of-kin there, however their details are unknown.

She is believed to have been married, however her husband died before she moved to Musbury.

Officers are trying to trace her next-of-kin so her body can be released by Dorset Coroner's Office.
