Appeal after assault on schoolboy

A 13-year-old schoolboy was beaten after he tried to defend a friend who was being abused by a gang.

The attack happened by the tennis courts in Hartsdown Park, Margate, when they were approached by a group of teenagers.

The victim was punched in the face by a youth in his mid to late teens who was about 6ft 1in tall. He had blond-brown, short hair and wore a blue or purple baseball cap, a light hooded top and blue tracksuit bottoms.

After assaulting the boy the thug then went into the leisure centre.
