Gillingham’s reserve match against Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday night has been called off because of the freezing conditions.

It means the likes of Andy Barcham, Dennis Oli, Simon King and Garry Richards will be unable to gain much-needed match practice following respective injuries.

King (pictured) was expected to make his second appearance in a Gills shirt inside five days as he continues his return to fitness following a long-term ankle injury.

Richards has also missed the start of the season with his own ankle injury.

Danny Jackman was hoping to get minutes under his belt after recently recovering from injury.

Gillingham’s next scheduled reserve outing is at home to Aldershot in mid-December.
