2 suffer multiple injuries in road smash

TWO men were taken to hospital with multiple injuries after a two-car crash.

The emergency services were called to the scene of the collision on the A228 Snodland Bypass, near Rochester, shortly after 7am on Tuesday. It involved a Vauxhall Corsa and a Toyota Corolla.

One man had to be cut free by fire crews from Larkfield and Halling using hydraulic cutting equipment.

The road was closed while the vehicles were recovered and debris removed.

Earlier this month a man was taken to hospital with a suspected back injury after his car overturned on the same stretch of road, and in May this year a man died after colliding with a lorry on the bypass near Brook Lane, Ham Hill.
