17-24? Don’t become a statistic

Sorry, this video asset has been removed.

Every year nearly 100 people are dying in accidents on Kent’s roads.

During Road Safety Week, November 10-16, Kent Fire and Rescue Service and the KM Group are highlighting the dangers of getting behind the wheel to young drivers.

Kent’s Chief Fire Officer Bill Feeley said: "It’s all part of growing up, getting your first car, or borrowing your parents’ car.

“You can drive where you want under your own steam.

“You can be a good driver and you can be a safe driver and safe doesn’t mean driving while using your mobile phone, it doesn’t mean driving while under the influence of drink or drugs.

“It means driving safely and having regard for everyone using the roads.”
