A VALUABLE bronze statue has been stolen from the rear garden of a house in a Kent village.

It was taken from the property in Spenny Lane, Marden, near Maidstone, sometime between January 25 and February 5.

The statue was one of only two made and is of a young girl bathing. It is believed to be worth around £12,000.

The statue is extremely distinctive and police believe it could be traced with help from members of the public who may have seen it.
