Chris & Co: Donald Trump's impact on business in Kent and the challenges facing Marks & Spencer

The election of Donald Trump shocked the world but may also create opportunities for businesses in Kent, according to two bosses.

Companies in the county may benefit if President-elect Trump favours a trade deal with the UK, according to Ansacom chief executive Claire Burroughs and Childrensalon operations director Denise Hamilton.

However, both expressed concerns that the future president is an unknown quantity and said his election was because both candidates were unpopular.

The pair were speaking on the latest edition of KMTV business show Chris & Co, presented by business editor Chris Price.

They also discussed the challenges facing retailer Marks & Spencer, after it announced plans for more than 30 store closures this month.
