Tourism Alliance seeks wider backing

BUSINESSES are being encouraged to join Kent Tourism Alliance (KTA) in a bid to boost the profile of the county.

The group says tourist destinations in Kent will make a greater impact if they work together.

KTA chief executive Cheryl Mvula says: "The Alliance was set up to give tourism businesses greater representation, from the family-run bed and breakfast to the major visitor attraction.

"It needs the support of everyone in the tourism industry. Membership is ongoing. With a membership package to suit everyone, becoming an associate member costs nothing more than the time it takes to fill out a form.

"We will all benefit from the increased visitors to the county as a result of our awareness raising campaigns."

All tourism organisations in Kent regardless of size are welcome to join. These include types of accommodation which are part of the national accommodation grading scheme, visitor attractions, pubs and restaurants, tourism associations and any other business that can demonstrate a significant reliance on visitors to Kent.

For full details of membership packages and on how becoming a member can help business, ring the KTA on 01622 696165.
