THE Campanile hotel and restaurant on Crossways Business Park at Dartford has appointed new general managers.

Lydia and Mickael Chevalier, a husband and wife team, have several years' experience with Groupe Envergure, the hotel chain which operates the Campanile and Kyriad brands in the UK.

They has previously been general managers of the Kyriad hotel near Disneyland for two years. The hotel - a popular restaurant with local businesses - is about to undergo a complete major refurbishment which will include a complete refit of the hotel's conference facilities, bistro restaurant, and 125 bedrooms.

"This is a really exciting time to be taking the reins of the hotel," Lydia said. "Our aims will be high quality, cut price accommodation for consumers and business travellers and enhance the Bistro restaurant with menus offering the very best in classic French cuisine."
