GLOBAL telecoms supplier Teligent Ltd has moved its UK headquarters to Kings Hill, near Maidstone.

Founded in Sweden in 1990, Teligent serves blue chip clients such as, BT, MCI, Cingular, SingTel, Telefonica, TeliaSonera and Vodafone and has a global presence with 16 establishments in 12 countries, and more than 300 employees worldwide.

The relocation of its UK headquarters to Kings Hill is a result of the consolidation of its Hemel Hempstead and Rochester offices resulting in more than 50 employees working from the new offices.

Geoff Trigwell, head of global support, said: "As a leading telecoms supplier we have to project the right image to our clients and Kings Hill's high specification offices and carefully maintained landscaping combine to provide an ambience that does just that.

"The property solution we have found in the Flex style of building is perfectly suited to our needs, and we are delighted with the help that Liberty Property Trust have given us in fitting out the property to our exact specification in a very short timescale."

Nick Condon, project director of Kings Hill developer Liberty Property Trust UK Ltd, said: "We are delighted that Teligent has chosen Kings Hill as its headquarters and we look forward to accommodating its expansion plans."

Teligent has taken 10,266 sq ft in 2 Kings Hill Avenue on an assignment of a 10-year lease, with approximately six years left to run.
