PR agency bolsters team

PUBLIC relations consultancy DTW has made another appointment to its team.

Nikki Etherington has joined DTW’s Canterbury office as an account manager and brings with her more than four years' experience of local government PR and campaigning at Thurrock Council.

Nikki, 26, said: “I have gained so many skills working at Thurrock Council and I felt that now was the right time to move up in my career.

"Relocating to Canterbury is also a big attraction for me. I think it’s a beautiful city with lots to see and do – especially with the new Whitefriars development.”

Nikki’s first DTW contract is with the press office at Bedfordshire County Council where she will assist in improving communications at the organisation until the council can recruit full-time permanent staff.

Robin Treacher, DTW director, said: "Nikki’s local government experience is already proving very helpful.

"Many of our clients are either in local government or need to communicate with councils.

"She has a major challenge at Bedfordshire County Council and is a great asset to the company."
