New chapter for business gurus

THE Gravesend Chapter of Business Link International has successfully settled into its new home in the centre of town.

The Chapter, which recently celebrated its second anniversary, is now based at the Clarendon Royal Hotel in Royal Pier Road in a move which coincided with the introduction of three members.

The group passed more than 1,000 business referrals last year and is hoping to expand their membership figures over the coming years.

Director, Ross Perry said: "We hope to provide an excellent platform to promote local businesses and education members and their guests on effective business networking."

Education co-ordinator Michelle Bramble said: "The move into the town centre has been very successful thanks to the manager and staff at the Clarendon.

"We hope that our new venue will encourage more visitors operating businesses within the town centre."

Last year, the group started BNI on your Doorstep, a fundraising committee established to provide support to local causes.

Thanks to its efforts it was able to give Kings Farm School £1,000 to help establish a toy library for the community.

Anyone wishing to visit the group should call Michelle Bramble on 01474 363777 or visit www.bnigravesend.co.uk.
