Man back from Oz goes Global

GLOBAL Home Loans (GHL), the Dartford-based mortgage administrator, has appointed Simon Hinshelwood as chief operating officer.

His background includes 10 years in Australia, most recently with the same title at Aussie Home Loans, as well as 13 years spent at Arthur Andersen, both in the UK and as a partner in Sydney.

Simon, 39, who now lives in Blackheath, qualified as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1989. He started his career in the UK practice of Arthur Andersen in Audit and Business Advisory.

From there he progressed through corporate finance, turnaround management and strategic and operational management consulting, becoming a partner in 1995, aged 32.

He then joined Aussie Home Loans, Australia's largest non-bank lender, responsible for revolutionising the consumer mortgage market in Australia.

Simon's key achievements include the setting up of strategic alliances with AMEX to launch an Aussie branded credit card.

Global Home Loans, based in Meridian House, Anchor Boulevard, Crossways Business Park, has also announced the appointment of Adam Sutton as director of change and client relations.

He will be responsible for managing existing client relationships and integrating new clients as well as change management and strategic planning.

Adam, 36, brings with him seven years' experience with Cap Gemini Ernst and

Young. He specialised in strategic management consulting.

Before that, he worked for eight years in the consumer goods industry with BAT and Unilever working in Europe, Asia and South America, concentrating primarily on sales and marketing management.

Adam, who graduated from Southampton University with a BA (Hons) in

biochemistry and pharmacology,lives in Woking, Surrey with his wife and

two children.
