THE Kent Messenger Group has landed four awards at a prestigious newspaper industry event.

The successes in the Newspaper Society Newspaper Sales And Promotions Awards were announced at the Hilton Metrople Hotel in Birmingham last night.

The KM Group scooped:

* Best Sales Increase For A Weekly Newspaper With A Circulation Less Than 5,000. Winner: Dartford And Swanley Messenger.

* Best Event Organised By A Publisher. Winner: Kent Messenger Group for the Charity Walk.

* Johnston Press Award For A Weekly Newspaper With Circulation Over 25,000. Winner: Kent Messenger.

* Kent Messenger Award For Best Overall Sales. Winner: Kent Messenger Series.
