Winemaker Gusbourne among Kent firm’s receiving King’s Award for Enterprise

Wine producer Gusbourne is among a number of firms named as recipients of the King’s Award for Enterprise this year.

More than 250 organisations nationally were recognised in the awards, announced this week.

Gusbourne, based in Appledore, near Ashford, received its aware for international trade.

Jonathan White, CEO at Gusbourne, said: “We are incredibly honoured to receive this prestigious award in a category that is becoming increasingly important to our business. As an English wine producer, expanding our reach through international trade is a key focus and one of our strategic growth drivers.”

The awards programme, now in its 58th year, allows those named to use the King’s Award emblem for the next five years.

Other winners from the county were A4P Consulting and Logical Biological, both based on Discovery Park, Sandwich; Darenth-based Brigade Electronics Group; Priority Freight in Dover and Biggin Hill’s Limpsfield Combustion Engineering.
