Creative pair make top 100

A TINY company from the village of Brabourne, near Ashford, is in a list that includes the Eden Project, the John Lewis Partnership and EasyJet, all acclaimed by the BT Vision research and awards programme.

The scheme, originated by BT, identifies 100 innovative UK organisations that have achieved strategic goals through visionary activities over the last 12 months - regardless of size, age or sector.

Joint partners Dennis Sherwood and Judith Hackett staff the Silver Bullet Machine Manufacturing Company, based in the village at Church Barn. They set up the management consultancy in 1999 to help organisations become more creative and innovative. They work with everyone involved in the client's organisation, from staff to suppliers, as they believe all can contribute to strategic ideas.

Dennis said: "We aim to provide clients with the creativity and innovation that allows them to solve problems again and again. We empower them to achieve their goals."

Contenders were short-listed by a team of business journalists and researchers led by the Cranfield School of Management. An advisory panel of opinion leaders and analysts then selected the final 100.
