Cement firm award sign of bright economic future for Kent and Medway

A Rochester-based company formed only five years ago had been presented with The Queen’s Award for Enterprise.

It was presented at a ceremony on Wednesday in recognition of its international trade success.

Co-founders of Cement Performance International (cpi) Limited President Allison Riser, and Technical Director Peter Dover, received the prize from the Lord Lieutenant of Kent, Allan Willett CMG.

Mr Willett,said:“It is an achievement that points the way to Kent’s business future which lies in the knowledge-based economy of today and tomorrow.”
