ANOTHER Paul has been tapped to lead Mid Kent Water.

In a boardroom reshuffle, Paul Seeley has taken over from Paul Butler as managing director of the Snodland-based utility.

Mr Butler has become managing director of South East Water in Haywards Heath. Both companies are owned by Hastings Fund Management, an Australian group.

Mr Seeley has worked in the water industry for more than 30 years and was previously with Southern Water, Seven Trent Water and North West Water.

Mr Seeley, a chartered environmentalist, and his wife Chrissie live in Tunbridge Wells. They have three grown up children.

He said: "I am delighted to have been offered the role and look forward to the many challenges that lie ahead. Customers can be reassured that Mid Kent Water will remain committed to providing them with a top quality service at a value for money price."

Mr Butler joined Mid Kent Water in 1994 as group financial controller after experience with accounting firm Ernst & Young and Marks & Spencer.

Mid Kent Water has also appointed industry veteran Graham Setterfield to the post of executive chairman.

Mr Setterfield, from Faversham, was deputy managing director of Southern Water in Capstone Road, Chatham, director of water services at Water UK, and, until his latest appointment, a non-executive director of Mid Kent Water.

He chairs the Institute of Civil Engineers Water Board and the South East Water Forum.
