Academic life for Thames Gateway chief

THE head of a major north Kent regeneration project has left his job to take up a high-profile appointment at the University of Greenwich.

Marc Hume, chief executive of the Thames Gateway (Kent) Partnership, will join the university in September in his newly-created post of director of enterprise.

He will lead the development of the university’s £17.5million research and consultancy portfolio, working with businesses and other organisation to promote economic prosperity.

Tessa Blackstone, vice-chancellor of the University of Greenwich said: "Marc has a reputation for making things happen.

"He will help us to make the best possible contribution to its long-term success."
