WORK is nearing completion on Thanet's latest hotel which is being built on the Prospect Inn site at Minster.

The building is linked to the original frontage of the former pub and restautant that was designed by English architect Oliver Hill in the International Cunard Style and built as a roadside inn in 1939.

The Holiday Inn Express Hotel features 105 bedrooms, all of which are en-suite with shower rooms and air conditioning, tea/coffee making machines, and flat screen plasma television.

The hotel also has a bar, lounge and a restaurant serving evening meals, two meeting rooms and wireless broadband throughout.
