Two men charged after drugs and cash from Wales found in Hythe

Two men are due in court after drugs and £12,000 in cash were discovered in a car in Hythe.

The arrests were part of an investigation into drugs being brought to Kent from Wales.

Officers patrolling the M20 near Hythe yesterday (Monday) stopped a black Jaguar X type car at around 5.30am, and recovered from it cannabis and a substance believed to be cocaine as well as around £12,000 in cash.

With the help of officers from Dyfed-Powys Police, a warrant was later carried out at a property in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, where a cannabis cultivation was found.

Nicholas Moulder, 48, and Thomas Moulder, 19, both of Kensington Gardens, 309 miles away in Haverfordwest, were charged with being concerned in the production of, supplying and possessing cannabis.

Nicholas Moulder was also charged with possession of cocaine, and driving while unfit through drugs.

Both are due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday).
