Four pumps tackle blaze at Kent home

Four fire engines attended a house fire in Hythe which started early on Thursday.

The blaze was at an end of terrace house in South Road. No-one was inside at the time and it is believed the house is being renovated.

The alarm was raised at 4.55am. Fire crews from Folkestone and Hythe were at the scene for around 90 minutes.

The fire is thought to have started on the first floor. The whole house has been damaged by fire, heat and smoke.

Fire investigators have not yet established what caused the blaze.
