A DISTRAUGHT family is anxiously awaiting news of their much-loved Jack Russell puppy called George that has been missing since last Wednesday.

The 23-week-old disappeared from the garden of a home in Blackhouse Hill, near Hythe, at around 11am while the owners were indoors.

They fear their pet has been stolen and owner Mrs Philippa Stedman-Collins, the county field officer for Kent Federation of Young Farmers Clubs, is offering a cash reward for information leading to his safe return.

George has symetrical black and brown facial markings and a black circular patch around and up a docked tail.

The rest of the body is mainly white with pink skin on his nose and belly and black patches on his underside and in the mouth.

Anyone with information should contact the family on 07752 218555.
