Appeal to identify dead cycle rider

POLICE are appealing for help in identifying a man who collapsed in Hythe and later died of a suspected heart attack.

The man had been cycling along the pathway at Hythe Military Canal on Sunday when he stopped and told passers by he felt unwell. He was pronounced dead by ambulance crews at the scene.

He was white, aged between 40 and 50, 5ft 10ins tall with a large build and dark grey receding hair which was brushed back. He had a black moustache.

He was wearing a grey T-shirt, black cycling shorts, white trainers and a black sports watch. The cycle is a distinctive blue and white Scott USA expert racing mountain bike.
