A pregnant mum who claimed to be a £40-a-time prostitute has been convicted of luring a man into sex so her boyfriend could rob him at knifepoint.

Hollie Cheeseman, 32, was today found guilty of the 'honeytrap' ploy and told she faces a lengthy spell in prison.

A jury at Canterbury Crown Court had heard how the expecting mother-of-one had tricked her victim into going back to her flat in Greenhill, near Herne Bay, to have sex in June this year.

But after the pair undressed, Cheeseman's boyfriend, Jeremy Long, burst into the bedroom with a knife and threatened to cut the man's genitals off.

The victim was then robbed of his bank card and locked in the flat while Long went to a cashpoint, but the account was overdrawn.

When Long returned to the flat empty handed he threatened to punch the victim and put him in his car boot and drive him somewhere to beat him up.

The three of them then went to the victim's home, where various items - including a TV, phone, and PS4 games console - were stolen.

Long admitted two counts of robbery and false imprisonment, but Cheeseman denied the same charges.

She claimed she was leading a double life as a prostitute and had intended to have sex with the victim for money.

When cross-examined, she said the victim had offered his bank card and other items by way of an apology to Long for almost becoming intimate with her.

But a jury saw through her lies and she was convicted by majority on all three offences.

Cheeseman, who has a history of thieving from the vulnerable, looked ahead and expressionless as the verdict was read out.

Judge Catherine Brown told her: "I'm going to remand you in custody and ask probation to do a full report about you.

"You should be under no illusion these are very serious offences."

The jury was told Cheeseman has four previous convictions for stealing from vulnerable victims and - as in the 'honeytrap' robbery - had used the fake name Amy before.

In September 2005, she used the moniker to befriend an 89-year-old man and stole his wallet after walking him home.

Later that year she visited another vulnerable victim's house under the pseudonym 'Amy White' and stole their bank card, later making numerous fraudulent transactions.

She has also been convicted of two other crimes of dishonesty - snatching £20 from a vulnerable person and writing a stolen cheque for £300.

Cheeseman and Long, 40, who pleaded guilty to the crimes in a previous hearing, will be sentenced at the same court on December 9.
