Plumber faces murder charge

A 34-YEAR-OLD plumber is due before Canterbury magistrates today charged with murder following a stabbing incident.

Mark Laverick, of Partridge Close, Broomfield, Herne Bay, is accused of killing a 39-year-old neighbour who has not yet been named.

Police and an ambulance were called to the cul-de-sac shortly after midnight on Friday and the victim taken to the Queen Mother Hospital at Margate with a stab wound where he died shortly after.

Mr Laverick was arrested and questioned at Canterbury police station until he was charged with murder on Sunday.
