Paraglider who ditched in Beltinge near Herne Bay treated by Air Ambulance crew

A paraglider was flown to hospital after ditching on The Downs above Herne Bay.

An emergency helicopter crew braved strong winds on Sunday early evening to land on the steep grass verge leading up to Beltinge and treat the victim.

The paraglider suffered injuries to his chest and lower legs and was taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
