THE British Superbike Championship season is set for a thrilling climax at Brands Hatch this weekend as any one of a trio of riders could be crowned number one.

Reigning champion Ryuichi Kiyonari is favourite holding a 37-point advantage going into the final two rounds.

And the Japanese rider will need to slip up on his Honda machine if the chasing duo of Jonathan Rea and Leon Haslam are to challenge.

Brit Haslam is the rider on form having won the previous two rounds at Donington Park on his Ducati.

Meanwhile Northern Ireland’s Rea (Honda) could only muster a fifth and seventh place finish last time out.

There is an added bonus for motor-racing fans as the new World Superbike champion James Toseland will be on hand to sign autographs on race day.

The action starts on Friday with the practice sessions while qualifying takes place on Saturday and the two races get the green light on Sunday.

As well as the BSB finale, the weekend also hosts British 125GP Championship final, the Maxxis British Supersport Championship final and KTM 990 Super Duke Battle final.

Admission prices range from £10 on practice day to £27 on race day with under-12’s getting in free.
