Dean Rance agrees a new deal at Ebbsfleet United but Bryan van den Bogaert staying in Belgium for personal reasons

Dean Rance has agreed a new deal at Ebbsfleet United.

Next season will be the midfielder's fourth with Fleet, who signed him from Dover in 2013.

Rance has since made 120 appearances - more than any other player at the club - and cemented himself as one of Ebbsfleet's prize assets.

Former Gillingham youngster Rance played 44 games last season as Fleet finished runners-up in National League South before losing to Maidstone in the play-off final.

The 24-year-old becomes the second member of last season's squad to agree a new deal, after Sam Deering, and a club statement said: "Daryl McMahon is once again hard at work this week in player negotiations and further news will follow as soon as any deals are concluded."

Meanwhile, defender Bryan van den Bogaert has left Ebbsfleet after deciding to stay in his native Belgium for personal reasons.

Van den Bogaert joined Fleet in January and started 15 league games but returned home before the play-offs.
