Ebbsfleet United full-back Aiden Palmer rejoins Chelmsford City of Vanarama National League South on one-month loan deal

Ebbsfleet United fullback Aiden Palmer has rejoined former club Chelmsford City on a one-month loan deal.

The former Leyton Orient youngster put pen to paper on Thursday night to begin a second spell at the Melbourne Stadium, where he previously played between 2011 and 2013, making more than 100 appearances in all competitions.

The 28-year-old arrived at Stonebridge Road from Chelmsford in 2013, having previously enjoyed stints at Dagenham & Redbridge, Cambridge United and City, Bishop's Stortford and made nearly 50 appearances for the Os before leaving Brisbane Road.

Palmer has made 64 Fleet appearances in the past two years, scoring twice, but missed four months of last season after sustaining a serious knee-injury and has yet to make an appearance this term as Fleet won their opening two games to lie third in Vanarama National League South.

Palmer goes straight into the Clarets squad for Saturday's home game against Hayes & Yeading while Fleet are on the road at St Albans City (3pm).
