Injuries plague Fleet's defence

DEFENDER Justin Skinner could return for Gravesend's Nationwide Conference home game against Southport.

It is the first of two games in four days for the Fleet, who visit surprise early leaders Woking on Tuesday.

“We're hoping that Justin will be involved at some stage on Saturday,” said assistant manager Phil Handford.

Defender Aaron Barnett has joined Fleet’s casualty list after damaging medial ligaments in the first minute at Stevenage on Monday. He is likely to be out for several weeks. Fellow defender Matt Lee needs an X-ray after injuring an ankle.

Mark Bentley is nursing a groin problem, while Steve McKimm has a knee injury that is causing concern.
