Gravesend regain winning habit

Gravesend kept up the pace with the leading clubs in London 2 South after returning to form with a 25-3 win at basement side Maidstone.

Gravesend got back to winning ways after losing last time out to Cobham and victory leaves them joint second, just a point off leaders Dorking.

Flanker Sox Stevens opened the scoring after slicing through Maidstone’s backs and Gary Gray added the conversion.

Maidstone kicked a penalty but one in reply for Gravesend restored their seven-point advantage and Tony Nolan scored a try before the break.

In the second half Jon Clement grounded and late in the game James Harris ran in the final score from 50 metres.
