A Dave Goodwin brace ensured that Rose & Crown lifted the Gravesend and Dartford Messenger Senior Cup for the first time at Fleet Leisure on Good Friday.

Old Comrades had the better of the first hour without creating any clear-cut chances.

Lee Quarrington blazed over for Rose & Crown before Goodwin broke away to give them the lead.

Goodwin then turned provider when his shot came off the bar and Steve Finan headed home the rebound.

Goodwin completed a memorable day when he beat the defence and lobbed keeper Dean Thorne.
