Fleet's Jackson on the mend

JACKSON: badly bruised leg
JACKSON: badly bruised leg

Stevenage Borough v Gravesend & Northfleet

FEARS that Fleet's veteran star Jimmy Jackson had fractured his leg in Tuesday's Kent Senior Cup semi-final win against Margate have proved unfounded.

There where anxious scenes as Jackson was stretchered off to hospital in the second half.

But club officials say his leg is not broken, only badly bruised.

Fleet return to Nationwide Conference action on Saturday with a trip to Stevenage.

Liam Daish’s men should be in confident mood after securing the 1-0 victory over Gate, the only goal coming from Luke Moore.

* Fleet will face the winners of the other Kent Senior Cup semi-final between Bromley and Ramsgate.
