Fleet's Essandoh set for return

ESSANDOH: missed last Saturday's match because of a dead-leg
ESSANDOH: missed last Saturday's match because of a dead-leg

Gravesend & N v Halifax

NEW Gravesend & Northfleet manager Liam Daish believes the club's recent revival will be tested when third-placed Nationwide Conference club Halifax visit Stonebridge Road tonight.

The former Football League club won at second placed Crawley on Saturday and Daish is in no doubt that the Fleet's four-match unbeaten sequence is under threat from a side that have won five times on the road in the Conference this season.

"Halifax are good at going away and grinding out results," said Daish. "They are physically strong and take no prisoners, so our lads will know they've been in a game come 10pm tonight."

Daish is hoping that striker Roy Essandoh is fit to resume after missing Saturday's match because of a dead-leg but defender Graham Porter (ankle) and striker Manny Omoyinmi (groin) are unlikely to be fit.
