East Thurrock United 0 – 2 Gravesend & Northfleet

GRAVESEND are into the second round of the FA Trophy after a 2-0 victory at East Thurrock United on a freezing afternoon.

Fleet took the lead in the 40th minute when Andy Drury’s free-kick was touched in by defender James Smith.

And Drury was heavily involved in Gravesend’s second goal when his pin-point cross was turned in at the near post by top scorer Charlie MacDonald.

In a game of few chances, Drury had earlier come close when his attempted cross skimmed the top of the bar before going over.
