GRAVESEND director Brian Kilcullen has described a breakdown in negotiations on the new stadium project as a "temporary setback".

Fleet have pulled out of talks with property developer Bannertown, after deciding it was in their best interests to seek out a new partner following delays in talks over the last few months.

Mr Kilcullen said: "Things were taking too long and we weren’t convinced we were going to get what we wanted."

The club are currently looking at four or five potentially suitable sites in the area.

Mr Kilcullen added: "Fans won’t be unhappy with any of them. They are all in the middle of our fan base."
