Gravesend & Northfleet v Stevenage

SUSPENSIONS to Jay Saunders and Scott Gooding have hit Gravesend’s squad for what manager Liam Daish describes as a massive game at home to Stevenage on Saturday.

The pair, who were sent off in Saturday’s FA Cup fourth qualifying round defeat at Kettering, will watch from the stands as the Fleet attempt to put behind them two bad results against Tamworth and the Poppies.

Daish admitted: "The reason I’ve described this as a massive game is because of our poor performances against Tamworth and Kettering. It shouldn’t take a couple of bad results for us to re-focus but that’s what we’re having to do."

Daish is hoping midfielder Bobby Bowry and central defender Paul McCarthy, missing at Kettering, will be fit to resume. Bowry has a hamstring strain while McCarthy failed a fitness test on a thigh injury just before the Kettering tie.
