Oxford 5 Ebbsfleet 1

Two first half goals in four minutes put the skids under Ebbsfleet as they slipped to a fourth successive Blue Square Premier League defeat at the Manor Ground on Sunday

New Oxford boss Chris Wilder could not have wished for a better start in his first home game in charge, as Lewis Haldane and James Constable put United 2-0 up inside the opening 20 minutes.

Yemi Odubade added a third five minutes after the break before Stacey Long lifted Fleet, pulling one back 14 minutes from time with a spectacular free-kick.

However that was as good as it got for Liam Daish's men, with Phil Trainer and substitute Alex Fisher adding two late strikes to complete Oxford's nap hand.

Ebbsfleet also had Peter Hawkins, Sacha Opinel and Karl Murray booked and the defeat sees them slip to 14th in the table, only five points above the drop-zone.
