Halifax v Gravesend & Northfleet

GRAVESEND boss Liam Daish takes his team to Halifax on Saturday still furious after his side allowed a much-needed win to slip from their grasp in stoppage time against Crawley on Tuesday night.

Daish accused his players of naivety against the Sussex side and said: "When you’re leading 1-0 with so little time left, you should be coming away with the points.

"There were certain situations which we didn’t exploit to kill the game off. We always wanted to take that extra touch, beat that extra man and finished up giving the ball back too easily."

He added: "That’s a big two points dropped for us bearing in mind we have a succession of tough games coming up at Halifax on Saturday followed by Hereford, York, Tamworth and Stevenage."

Daish's outburst is almost certain to spur his players on to do better, starting at Halifax this weekend.
