After their great win in the county cup the previous weekend, Viewpoint Reserves were brought back down to earth by Premier Division The Old Prince of Orange in the quarter-finals of the League Cup A last Saturday.

Prince romped to an 8-1 win thanks to goals from Tom Crowther (3), Marc Bruce, Mark Laver, Delroy Samuel, Simon West and Marcus Farrell.

The Viewpoint first team had a much easier afternoon, trouncing AFC Welsh Tavern 20-2.

Their goals came from Dave Goodwin (5), Aaron Brown (4), Damien Blowers (4), Peter Finan (3),Toby Johnson (2), Scott Goodwin and Barry Simpson. Paul Ellis scored twice for Welsh Tavern.

A hat-trick from Ryan Orpwood led last season’s runners-up, Lullingstone Castle, to a 4-3 win over Premier Division leaders Craggs Farm. Paul Brookstein scored their other goal, with Luke Mannerings, Elijah Eastwood and Dmitri Blowers replying.
