Gravesend boxer Cheavon Clarke set to take on Dec Spelman in English cruiserweight title eliminator in February

Boxer Cheavon Clarke will look to kick his 2023 off with a bang.

The winner will compete for the English cruiserweight title later this year.

Clarke, 32, said: “I’m just looking forward to getting back out there - the first fight of the year and Matchroom’s first UK show of 2023.

“My TEAMC4 guys will be travelling from afar, so I’m ready to put on a show for them.”

Clarke’s professional record stands at 4-0, with his last fight in November a stunning second-round knockout of Jose Gregorio Ulrich at Wembley Arena.

Fighting on the undercard for the blockbuster Dillian Whyte versus Jermaine Franklin fight, Clarke stopped the Argentinian boxer (17-6) with a devastating uppercut.

This time he will fight on the undercard of the pay-per-view event between Leigh Wood and Mauricio Lara.

Tickets will be available on 07565 850611 and via Clarke’s fan page, found on Instagram at @teamc4chev
