Gravesend teenager charged with assault after two found with slash wounds in Gordon Promenade East, near Canal Road

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with assault after two people suffered slash wounds.

Police were called to a disturbance involving a large group of people in Gordon Promenade East, near Canal Road, Gravesend last Friday (June 23).

A 16-year-old boy and a 29-year-old man were found nearby with slash wounds to their arms.

Both were taken to hospital and have since been discharged.

With the help of CCTV police arrested a 17-year-old boy from Gravesend, who cannot be named for legal reasons, on Wednesday .

The suspect was charged yesterday and stood in front of Medway Magistrates Court which sat as a youth court.

He was remanded to a hearing at Woolwich Crown Court on Thursday July 27.
