The second phase of refurbishments at a church are set to get under way soon.

Gravesend Methodist Church, in Milton Road, Gravesend, will soon be covered in hoardings as work begins to improve one of the entrances.

The first phase of work saw a reception and community centre created at the rear entrance.

Now, the Milton Road entrance will be transformed into a community hub with a cafe, meeting room and new kitchen as well as a toilet and counselling room.

There will also be a modern, ramped entrance.

People will still be able to access the church through the community centre at the back of the building in Wilfred Street.
