Customers are being asked to visit nearby alternative branches in Station Road, Longfield, and The Row, New Ash Green, while works are carried out.

Post Office spokesman Noah Rai said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers during the work.

“The safety of our customers is of paramount, therefore to allow for the building work to take place, it will be necessary for the service to close temporarily.”

The refurbishment will close the store on Friday, July 28, and is expected to be completed by Monday, August 14.
