Gravesend cannabis factory discovered after police search in Gordan Place

More than 100 cannabis plants were found by police following a search of an address.

A man has been charged and remanded in custody after a warrant led to the discovery of a large cannabis cultivation in Gordan Place Gravesend.

A police spokesman said: “Officers identified a cultivation of 150 cannabis plants. The suspect was located in the garden and arrested.”

The warrant was executed on Monday under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Sanitiliano Sakaj, 27, from Thorpe Road, Norwich, was charged with producing a controlled drug and possession with intent to supply a class B drug.

He was remanded to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
