Crash causes traffic delays at M25/A2 Darenth Interchange

A multi-vehicle crash on the M25 is causing rush-hour chaos.

One of the cars has overturned and is blocking a lane on the A282 anticlockwise between junctions 1a and 1b near Dartford and Gravesend near the Darent Interchange.

Emergency services and National Highways are at the scene.

A Kent Police spokeswoman said: "We were called to a report of a three-vehicle collision on the A282 in Dartford just before the tunnel at around 7.25am. Emergency services are at the scene. One person has reported injuries."

The incident happened at 7.30am.

There are long delays on A282/M25 anticlockwise approach and queues back towards M25 J3 at the Swanley turn-off.

A spokesman for National Highways warned: "Approach with caution and allow extra time for your journey."

There are also knock-on delays with slow moving traffic on the A2 London-bound between M2 J1 and B255 Bean Lane.
