Meopham star Laura Hamilton has ditched freezing temperatures back home for sunshine abroad as she returns to our screens next week.

Ms Hamilton, 29, a former Dartford Grammar School for Girls student, will join the presenting team of the new series of Channel 4's A Place in the Sun: Winter Sun on Monday.

The Dancing On Ice runner-up will help sun seeking couples hunt for their ideal homes outside the UK.

She said she had landed her 'dream job' after it was offered to her shortly after her expolits on the ice.

Previously she worked as a children's television presenter on Nickelodeon.

She said: "For me it is a dream job, I've always been interested in property and bought my first one in Meopham."

"There are a lot of people looking to find bargains abroad but the show is more about property, you will learn about the lifestyle of the country.

"There are definitely more people looking to buy abroad and there are some great bargains to be had."

As well as filming the show which started last October she is also planning her wedding in September to her fiance.

The show will air on channel 4 on Monday at 11am where Laura will be in the Costa Blanca.
