Renewed appeal to find missing Anthony Brown last seen on CCTV at Northfleet train station

People are being asked to check their dash cameras, outbuildings and private CCTV to help find a missing man.

Concerns are growing for the welfare of Anthony Brown who has been missing for more than a week.

He was reported missing on Sunday, January 21 after being last seen at Higham Railway Station on Thursday, January 18.

CCTV footage has been released which shows Mr Brown boarding a train at 4.50pm which arrived at Northfleet at 5.02pm.

Mr Brown, who is from Reading, was in the area after his car broke down on the M25.

He is white, 5ft 10ins and medium build with grey hair and grey/blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing grey trousers, brown shoes with white socks, a burgundy jumper and a long checked beige coat. He was also using a metal walking stick.

The pensioner was also picked up on CCTV at Bluewater Shopping Centre, in Greenhithe.

Mr Brown, who also goes by the name of Tony, may still be in the Northfleet area.

North Kent Insp Jamie Little said: “We are very concerned about the welfare of Mr Brown and are continuing to search for him.

“As well as assistance from residents, I’d like to ask commuters to think back to Thursday, January 18. Did you see him at the station? Did you see where he went?

“The station would have been busier than usual at that time due to people travelling home from work, so we are hopeful somebody might remember something.

“Please report any information you have, no matter what it is, as it may be useful to our investigation and help us find Mr Brown.”

Mr Brown has links to Gravesend, Woodley in Berkshire and Richmond, London. He may also have travelled to Surrey.
